By car
Tip for entering our adress in a GPS-system:
‘Le Bourg’ is no streetname, it indicates that we live in the center of the village. Many systems don’t recognize ‘Le Bourg’, enter then ‘Center’ (DON’T choose ‘Bourgnon’). Or enter our GPS-coordinates: 45°40’22″N / 3°34’29″O
From the north, there are 2 possibilities from Paris. The travelling time is about the same:
Motorways (toll roads) as much as possible: At Paris head for Bordeaux / Nantes (A3 / A86 / A10). Once on the A10 head for Orléans, Vierzon, Clermont-Ferrand. Then at Clermont Ferrand make for Lyon (A89 -A72) and after about 10 minutes take exit Thiers (exit number 29). Drive direction Courpière/Ambert; keep following the D906. After Courpière the D906 goes winding up and down. Then you will see the exit Tours sur Meymont to the right. When following this road you will arrive in our village. Immediately after the church is a square/ parking, turn into it and take a small road left down. To the left you will see our house with the blue hatches.
About 2 hours Route National (about 60 km shorter and € 30 toll cheaper):
At Paris head for Bordeaux / Nantes (A3 / A86 / A10). After the change A86 – A10 do not head for Bordeaux anymore, but for Lyon A6. Then the A77 direction Montargis. Next Nevers (A77/N7), Moulins, Vichy, Thiers. Then the D906 direction Courpière/Ambert . See above from this Point.
From the east, from Lyon:
Motorway A89 direction Clermont-Ferrand. Take exit Thiers (exit number 29 – don’t take exit Noirétable: often the GPS indicates that but it is a very winding short-cut which take more time). Then the D906 direction Courpière/Ambert . See above from this Point.
From the South, from Montpellier:
Motorway A75 direction Clermont-Ferrand. Take exit Isssoire (exit number 13). Head the D996 direction Sauxillanges / Ambert. After Auzelles head the D225 direction Cunlhat. When following this road you will arrive in our village Tours sur Meymont. Just before the church is a square/ parking, turn into it and take a small road left down. To the left you will see our house with the blue hatches.

Airport Clermont-Ferrand / Aulnat (Aulnat – Tours sur Meymont is about 45 minutes by car) Airport Lyon (Lyon – Tours sur Meymont is about 1 1/2 hour by car)
